If you have attempted/completed 18 credit units of transferable courses you will be considered for admission on the basis of your university marks. Keep in mind that you will still need the required high school subjects or equivalent, for your college of choice.
In addition to regular admission requirements, admission of transfer applicants (or students with transfer credit) to the College of Engineering is governed by the following criteria:
To obtain a B.E. degree from the U of S, up to 54 credits may be obtained through transfer courses. The Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board criteria may also limit the number of transfer credits awarded to your B.E. degree.

In general, applicants must be qualified to enter university in their home country. Specific subjects are required for some areas of study.
The language of instruction at the U of S is English. Applicants whose first language is not English must present evidence of proficiency in English.
If you are from one of the following countries where English is the official language, you typically do not need to provide proof of English proficiency.

It is sufficient proof of English proficiency if you have at least 2.5 years of full-time attendance at a Canadian or U.S. high school (or at an institution where English is the language of instruction and examination)1 including

Successful completion of at least 18 credit units of transferable university-level courses where English is the official language of instruction and examination is sufficient proof of proficiency2. The post-secondary institution must declare English to be the primary language of instruction and examination throughout the institution, not just in select departments.

If you have attempted/completed 18 credit units of transferable courses you will be considered for admission based on your post-secondary grades.
We welcome application for admission from home educated students. As unique as each home educated student’s education is, our admission policy is very much a case-to-case consideration to ensure we can be as fair as possible.
Interested students simply fill out the online application form to get started, indicating that they are home educated when prompted. We also encourage you to contact us with any questions you may have about the specifics of home education and admission.

Information collected by the University is to be used only for the purposes for which it has been collected, and must not be released to others without the express written consent of the student. Information such as whether or not a student is registered, grades, student number, date of birth, membership in a designated equity group, address and telephone number, etc., are all considered to be private. These matters will not be discussed with or confirmed or released to others, including members of the student’s family, unless the student has given the University prior permission in writing to release the information.
