It is sufficient proof of English proficiency if you have at least 2.5 years of full-time attendance at a Canadian or U.S. high school (or at an institution where English is the language of instruction and examination)1 including

High school students who have applied for early conditional admission for September 2009 or January 2010 will be evaluated according to the previous policy or the current policy, whichever benefits the student. Students applying to begin in May 2010 or later will be considered under the current policy.
Previous High School Language Requirement
It is sufficient proof of English proficiency if you have three years of full-time attendance in a Canadian high school (or at an institution where English is the language of instruction and examination) including complete secondary level standing and successful completion of English Literature & Composition in each of Grades 10, 11 and 12.
Successful completion of at least 18 credit units of transferable university-level courses where English is the official language of instruction and examination is sufficient proof of proficiency2. The post-secondary institution must declare English to be the primary language of instruction and examination throughout the institution, not just in select departments.

Upon completion of Grade 12, final high school transcripts must be forwarded directly to the U of S from the appropriate issuing authority.
If you attended another post-secondary institution, you must also arrange to have your final post-secondary transcript sent directly from your previous institution to the U of S.

Once your application has been received, International Admissions will contact you by e-mail with a list of documents and other information required to complete your application. Please make sure to keep your contact information up to date by informing International Admissions with any changes.
Under provincial legislation (The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act) and the University’s data use policy, the University is bound to protect the right of all students to their privacy and to ensure the confidentiality of their student records. Information collected by the University is to be used only for the purposes for which it has been collected, and must not be released to others without the express written consent of the student. Information such as whether or not a student is registered, grades, student number, date of birth, membership in a designated equity group, address and telephone number, etc., are all considered to be private. These matters will not be discussed with or confirmed or released to others, including members of the student’s family, unless the student has given the University prior permission in writing to release the information.
