There is also a $2,500 transfer scholarship offered to the student with the highest transfer scholarship average from select post-secondary institutions.
Who is eligible?
Eligible transfer students must be entering a direct entry program at the U of S. In addition, students must have completed a minimum of 24 transferable credits (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution in the academic year (September–April) immediately preceding their transfer to the U of S. Alternatively, international transfer students meeting English proficiency requirements could also be eligible if they have attended full-time studies (defined as two terms per year) at the U of S Language Centre immediately preceding tranfer to the U of S.
Students must also complete a minimum of 18 credit units during the academic year (September–April) in which the scholarship is received. If a student is dual registered, a minimum of 9 of the 18 required credit units must be U of S courses.
How is the average calculated?
Only those students with a 78% (B+) or above average will be eligible for transfer scholarships. The average may be calculated based on either the first term (and/or the entire year) of the year immediately preceding transfer to the U of S, depending on the time of application. For students who block transfer via articulation agreements, the average used will be the total cumulative average.
