Calculating the Greystone Scholar Average
Deadline for Nominations: November 1, 2011 (students graduating in June 2012)
Nominated students who have achieved a minimum average of 95% will be invited
to join the Greystone Scholars Society.
The Greystone Scholar average will be calculated based on five Grade 11
and/or Grade 12 subjects that give the student the highest average. The
subjects must have been completed by the end of the student’s Grade
11 year (June 2011).
Out-of-province and home educated nominees should call (306) 966-5788 or email greystonescholars@usask.ca to discuss individual circumstances.
The average for Saskatchewan nominees will be based on the following criteria.
I. One of:
- English 20
- English Language Arts 20
- Francais Fransaskois 20
- Francais Immersion 20
- English A30
- English B30
- English Language Arts A30
- English Language Arts B30
- Francais Fransaskois A30
- Francais Fransaskois B30
- Francais Immersion 30
II. One of:
- Mathematics 20
- Mathematics A30
- Mathematics B30
- Mathematics C30
- Calculus
III. A combination of three subjects at the 20-
or 30-level from the following categories:
Natural Science
Maximum of two subjects may be selected from the following:
- Agriculture Studies
- Biology
- Calculus
- Chemistry
- Computer Science (1.0 credit)

- Mathematics*
- Physics

We will only use one Mathematics course as a Natural Science elective. |
Social Science or Humanities
Maximum of two subjects may be selected from the following:
- Christian Ethics
- Cree

- Native Studies
