Calling all current Grade 12 students!
Apply for admission, pay the $90 application fee and submit your marks by February 15 to be eligible for three average calculations, the best of which could earn you money!

1. After Grade 11
   Five approved Grade 11- and/or Grade 12-level subjects, completed by June, will be used to your best advantage in the average calculation.
2. After Semester One of Grade 12
   Five approved Grade 12-level subjects, completed by January, will be used to your best advantage in the average calculation. This calculation can include January midterm marks for non-semestered subjects and/or a Grade 11 English.
3. At the end of Grade 12
   Five approved Grade 12-level subjects, completed by June, will be used to your best advantage in the final average calculation.

Best of Two
Deadline: May 1^*

If you miss the February 15 Best of Three deadline, apply for admission, pay the $90 application fee and submit your marks between February 16 and May 1 to be eligible for two averages, the best of which could earn you money!

1. After Semester One of Grade 12
   Five approved Grade 12-level subjects, completed by January, will be used to your best advantage in the average calculation. This calculation can include January midterm marks for non-semestered subjects and/or a Grade 11-level English.
2. At the end of Grade 12
   Five approved Grade 12-level subjects, completed by June, will be used to your best advantage in the final average calculation.

Who is Eligible?

• Grade 12 graduates coming directly to the U of S.
• Students who are not proceeding directly from high school to the U of S but have less than 18 transferable credit units. The awards average will be based on final Grade 12 marks.

Payment of Your Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship

In order to receive payment of a Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship, you must take a minimum of 18 credit units in the Regular Session (September to April) of the year the award is taken up. In addition, your official, final high school transcript must be submitted directly to Admissions from the appropriate issuing authority.

If you do not meet the credit requirement in your first year, you could take the 18 credit units or more in a single, subsequent Regular Session, provided that you have been continuously registered in classes at the U of S. In this case, however, you must notify the Awards and Financial Aid Office when the 18 credit unit requirement has been met and request payment of the scholarship.

Your Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship is applied directly to your U of S student account for payment of tuition and fees by mid-September (viewable in PAWS). If the scholarship is awarded, and your registration status changes to make you ineligible, monies will be revoked.

Starting in 2012-13, each student can receive payment of one Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship and one Competitive Entrance Awards. If eligible to receive multiple awards, students will be contacted to confirm which award they will be accepting. Students can receive additional awards administered at the college/department level or from an external source.
