The aim of the EBAC program is to provide advanced exposure in the areas of strategy implementation, decision making, advanced marketing, business plan development, and other business-related special topics.

Admissions Requirements

Admission Criteria

The EBAC certificate is available to graduates of the BAC program or an equivalent offering (i.e. Health Care Administration Certificate, and other similar certificate courses in business off ered at the post-secondary level).

Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Applicants who do not meet these requirements may apply for admission into the program on the basis of extensive business experience.

Application Deadlines

EBAC applicants may choose to start the program in either September (Term 1) or January (Term 2). The application deadlines are as follows:

  • Fall: September start - August 15
  • Winter: January start - December 15
  • To ensure timely acceptance and entry into your desired classes, it is recommended that you apply as early as possible.

EBAC: Is it for you?

Upon successful completion, students may use these courses as pathway programming to the Bachelor of Commerce degree program. This is consistent with the current BAC program. Students in good standing who have met EBAC program standards who apply and are accepted to the Bachelor of Commerce degree program will receive full transfer credit.

What is the Executive Business Administration Certificate?

The EBAC program was created to meet a growing demand from those who desired advanced business learning at the certificate level.

The EBAC program allows students to study executive business education at the certificate level. The program consists of 4 advanced business courses, which are taken over a period of two years. All courses are core – that is, there are no electives. The aim of the EBAC program is to provide advanced exposure in the areas of strategy implementation, decision making, advanced marketing, business plan development, and other business-related special topics.

Sample Classes

  • EBAC 50: Marketing in Dynamic Environments
    This course will invoke processes to analyze market opportunities, planning, implementing and controlling the marketing activities of the start-up venture. Advanced Strategic Marketing will be investigated through discussion of selected articles, case studies and other supporting material. Marketing practice is explored through case study analysis, development of a marketing plan, and guest speakers.
  • EBAC 51: Strategic Management and Implementation
    Designed to enable students to initially view strategy formulation as a logical and rational process. This course will assist students in developing skills in the analysis of a firm’s financial, strategic and competitive position, their value proposition, the competitive environment, and in recommending a general competitive strategy.
  • EBAC 52: Venture Management
    This course is designed to assist students in developing and understanding the skills and tools required in preparing and presenting a complete and professional business plan for a business entity. All aspects of the business plan are discussed, including operations, human resources, marketing and finance.
