Experience a variety of delivery modes
Whether studying off-campus or on-campus, today’s students want
maximum flexibility to accommodate hectic schedules. Off-campus U of S
students have the opportunity to experience a variety of delivery modes
and materials specially designed to provide a rich learning experience:
- Off-campus lecture classes – qualified instructors
teach these traditional face-to-face university classes at many regional
college and SIAST campuses.
- Televised classes – a variety of introductory
classes can be taken at over 50 receiving sites across Saskatchewan involving:
weekly televised interactive, instructor-led lectures and discussions;
online resources; telephone and e-mail access to instructors and tutors;
specially developed print packages to guide you through lectures, assignments
and textbooks.
- Online classes – join the e-learning revolution!
U of S online courses are specially designed for the web by instructional
design specialists to provide you with an optimum learning experience.
Online discussion forums provide opportunities to interact with instructors
and students.
- Independent Studies – study where and when you
want. These enhanced correspondence courses involve print, and/or audio
and video teaching tools and materials to make your learning experience
a memorable one. Course guides and telephone or internet access to instructors
ensure that you stay on track and get the help you need to be successful.
- Multi-mode classes – these classes involve a
weekly audio conference with an instructor or tutor at designated sites.
Face-to-face instruction is provided onsite every six weeks. Textbooks,
audiovisual learning aids and specially developed print packages are integral
to the multi-mode course.

“Off-campus
labs are great because with a smaller class, labs aren’t as crowded
and you can get more individual attention from the instructor.”
